This is the third in my "Bird and Nest" series.This piece measures 6.5 x 5 x 1" when the framed is closed and 11.5 x 5" when the frame is fully opened.
The frame has been painted and heavily distressed. It reminds me of old windows that have layers and layers of paint, complete with chipped paint that reveals its previous colors.
This little collage can be hung or it can be displayed as a sculptural piece. A thin layer of plexi glass covers the image.
The image was created by combining decorative papers and vintage images.
This piece is titled, signed, and dated on the back.
